Stuck on ideas on what to do with the children this Easter?

April 2, 2012

Then why not take them along to Westonbirt Arboretum located near the traditional Cotswolds market town of Tetbury.

Besides the opportunity to visit this historic, Victorian picturesque landscape and the internationally important tree and shrub collection, during Easter there will be an Easter Challenge.

Follow a trail of clues around the arboretum to complete the Easter Challenge, discover stories about the trees, explore the early signs of spring which are transforming the trees and try and solve the spring riddle.  Children will also be able to let their imagination run free and create their own spring mask and easter or spring card as well as making some magic wool flowers.

There’s also the chance see trees which were once nibbled by dinosaurs, some of the first flowers as well as the ancient tree that inspired the samurai! As well as making their very own leaf fossil children can help create a giant picture of ancient plants with prehistoric paints! How cool!
