The Old Band Room is a beautiful cottage tucked away in the classic Cotswold village of Naunton. Once used for the military bands of the neighboring villages to meet and practice, this property has been lovingly renovated to a high standard. The original beams and exposed walls are mixed with contemporary touches, such as the underfloor heating and wireless broadband throughout, to create a warm and welcoming feel.
Downstairs:
The front door of this beautifully presented home opens into the open plan Living Area where you will find two sofas in front of a wood burning stove (Gas), a TV, DVD and Video player.
The spacious Kitchen / Diner is well equipped with an oven, 5 ring gas hob, large fridge freezer, microwave and a washing machine in the utility area. A farmhouse style kitchen table and 5 chairs are also provided.
Upstairs:
Bedroom One has a 5ft double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with a shower, washbasin and WC.
Bedroom Two has a 4ft 6” double bed, a single bed (providing the option of a fifth person at an additional charge of £40 per stay or per week) and a wardrobe.
The Bathroom has a bath, washbasin, WC and a heated towel rail.
Across the quiet lane from the cottage is a secluded garden area which overlooks the upper River Windrush running through the village. The table and chairs provided make it ideal to enjoy the afternoon sun. Parents please be aware, as the river is not cordoned off.
Located just across the road from the classic pub in Naunton, The Old Band Room is ideal for those that like to take in the beautiful Cotswold scenery before stopping to refuel or enjoy a friendly drink in front of the open fire. Many of the scenic walks this area has to offer start in Naunton, making it a walker’s paradise.
The quaint Cotswold villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Winchcombe are all a short drive away, whilst Regency Cheltenham with its famous racecourse and excellent range of boutiques and restaurants is also close by. Local attractions include Sudeley Castle (Where Liz Hurley got married), Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway and Donnington Trout Farm. The Cotswold Farm Park and Birdland are popular choices for entertaining the children.
