The Gable is a pretty 18th century cottage situated in the attractive village of Bourton on the Hill, just 2 miles from Moreton in Marsh.  Internally this cottage is a wonderfully traditional home, with wooden beams, a slate floor and open fire adding to the character of this quaint Cotswold cottage.

 

Downstairs:

The open plan Lounge / Dining room includes 2 large sofas in front of an open fire a dining table and chairs for all and a bookcase with books and games.  There is also a TV with Freeview and a DVD Player.

The Kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and microwave. 
A small conservatory separates the kitchen from the garden and is an ideal place for your dogs if you have brought them with you. 

The small country garden provides a table and seating for 6.

 

Upstairs:
Bedroom One is tastefully decorated in a classic style with a 4’6” double bed, chest of drawers, a built in wardrobe which provides hanging space and two bedside tables with lamps.
Bedroom Two has a 4’ 6” double bed, a built in wardrobe with both hanging and shelf space and two bedside tables with lamps. 
The Bathroom has a bath, washbasin and WC and a large mirror.

Pets and children are welcome at The Gable, however please note that The Gable is located on the main road through Bourton on the Hill and as such some may feel it is unsuitable for young children.

Location

 

The Gable is located in the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill which itself has a popular and award winning country pub, The Horse and Groom.  Just 2 miles down the road you will find Moreton in Marsh with its choice of tea rooms, gift boutiques, restaurants and country pubs as well as takeaways and two small supermarkets.

 

Many attractive villages are within a short drive of The Gable.  Stow on the Wold, with its art galleries and antique shops, is about a 10 minute drive whilst Winchcombe with the well known Sudeley Castle is about 15 minutes away.  Local attractions include Batsford Arboretum, the Cotswold Falconry Centre and the Cotswold Quad and outdoor activity centre.
