Teagles Cottage is a wonderfully restored 150-year-old Cotswold stone cottage set within the heart of Stow on the Wold. The owners have taken great care to create a welcoming holiday home with a contemporary touch. The modern comforts provide a ‘home from home’ feel and the feature wood burner is just perfect for those cosy nights. Right on your doorstep you will find a selection of pubs, restaurants, delis, a butchers and an abundance of tea rooms, so why not enjoy a taste of village life?
Ground Floor:
Entrance into a large Hallway – an ideal place to put your muddy boots after a country walk. Downstairs Cloakroom with washbasin and WC.
Spacious open plan Living / Dining room – furnished with large comfortable sofa, arm chairs and love seat along with feature wood burning stove. LCD TV with Freeview and a DVD player, plus iPhone and iPod dock. A large table and soft leather seating for minimum of 7 people is located in the dining area. Double French windows lead out onto courtyard garden with seating area.
Fully fitted Kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. A separate Utlility houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave.
1st Floor:
Master Bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, LCD TV with Freeview and a full-length mirror. The En-suite has a bath with a high quality overhead shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and WC.
Bedroom Two has a double bed, built in wardrobe, shelving and a full-length mirror.
Bedroom Three has two single beds, built in wardrobe, shelving and chest of drawers.
Bedroom Four has a single bed with a built in wardrobe and shelf space.
Bathroom has a bath with a high quality overhead shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and WC.
Wifi is available throughout the property.
Off street parking on driveway is available for one car.
Hairdryer in every bedroom.
Welcome basket of logs provided.
A high chair, travel cot and stair gate can be provided upon request.
Teagles Cottage is strictly a non smoking and no pets establishment.
Location
Teagles Cottage is located just two minutes walking distance from the main square in Stow-on-the-Wold where you will find wonderful antique shops and boutiques, art galleries, a selection of quaint tearooms and a fantastic choice of country pubs and excellent restaurants. Shops and bakeries selling a range of locally produced goods are in abundance.
Within a short drive from the cottage you can explore the picturesque towns and villages of Chipping Campden, The Slaughters, Broadway and Burford. There are many attractions in the local area, including Snowshill Manor and Lavender Farm, Sudeley Castle, the Cotswold Farm Park and Batsford Arboretum. Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon and the Roman City of Cirencester are a little further afield, but well worth a visit.
Please note that for one week in October and one week in May each year many of the amenities and pubs in Stow on the Wold shut due to the Gypsy Horse Fair. If your chosen dates fall in either of these months, please feel free to call to discuss.
