A real treasure found in the Cotswolds, Mary’s Acre is a Grade II listed Cotswold stone house with a thatched extension dating back to the 17th Century.  With an abundance of traditional features including an open fire, flagstone flooring and exposed beams, complemented by the contemporary kitchen and bathrooms this beautiful home offers the best of both worlds.

Ground Floor:

Entrance into a large hallway in the centre of the house.

Drawing Room has two large comfortable sofas and coffee table in front of a large inglenook open fire.

The TV Room has a large corner sofa and additional chair, coffee table, 3D TV with Blu-ray player and Orbit Sound sound bar including iPod dock all in front of the large feature fire place with wood burning stove.

Four large steps down to fully fitted Kitchen / Diner (part of the Thatched extension) which includes an AGA cooker, dishwasher, two under counter fridges, microwave and La Pavoni coffee machine.  There is a large table which can be extended to seat 8, small LCD TV with Freeview and DVD player and a Bowers and Wilkins iPod / iPhone dock.

A separate Utility Room has a small under counter freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

1st Floor:

Large spacious landing.

Bedroom One has a 4’6” double bed, two bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe.

Large Bathroom includes a bath with shower attachment, separate walk-in shower, double wash basin, heated towel rail and WC.

Bedroom Two has a 5’ double bed, two bedside tables, dressing table and stool, chest of drawers, fitted wardrobe and a DABS radio alarm clocks with iPod/iPhone dock.

Bedroom Three has a 6’ double sleigh bed, two bedside tables and lamps, built in wardrobe, a decorative fireplace and a DABS radio alarm clocks with iPod/iPhone dock.

The thatched extension has a Double Bedroom with wonderful views over the garden which can be accessed via a spiral staircase (Please note that this staircase may not be suitable for people with mobility problems) from the utility area.  There is also a Bathroom with a shower, wash basin and WC.  Please note that this bedroom and bathroom are separate from the rest of the 1st floor and can only be accessed through the kitchen.  For this reason, this bedroom is not suitable for small children.

2nd Floor:

Landing with window overlooking the garden.

Large Bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower, double wash basin, large mirror, heated towel rail and WC.

Master Bedroom is a pretty room with beams on the ceiling and the wall and views across the garden and countryside beyond.  It includes a 6’ double bed, two bedside tables and lamps, Rotel multi speaker music system with iPod / iPhone dock and digital radio also linked to the bathroom speakers.  This bedroom leads on to a Dressing Room with built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and stool and a full length mirror.

Mary’s Acre is located in the quiet and picturesque village of Broad Campden which has a pub a very short walk away.  Just a mile from the beautiful town of Chipping Campden you will find a larger selection of pubs and restaurants, antique shops to browse in and delicatessens and bakeries to sample local delights as well as exploring the different styles of buildings found in this ancient town.
