Carters Cottage is a delightfully intimate property.It retains much of its original charm, whilst providing the modern day comforts of a holiday home. Beamed ceilings and the open fireplace amongst designer furniture and beautiful original art demonstrate the high standard this cosy cottage has been furnished to.Wireless Broadband is available throughout the property.
Downstairs: Fully fitted Kitchen with cooker, electric hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The table with seating for four can be set with the colourful glassware found in the crystal cabinet. The back door opens onto the decked area of the secluded garden, a perfect 'sun trap' on those sunny days. Here you will find garden furniture for four, surrounded by gorgeous pot plants. The Living Room includes a large corner sofa and a wingback armchair and footstool in front of a woodburning stove. You will also find a large LCD TV, Sky and CD Player. The Cloakroom has a WC and washbasin.
Upstairs: Bedroom One has a 5’ king sized bed, two bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers, desk, and a wardrobe. Bedroom Two has a 4’6” double bed, two bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The Bathroom has a large corner bath, separate shower, washbasin and WC.
Carters Cottage is strictly a non smoking establishment. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Off street parking is not available at Carters Cottage, however there is free street parking available in the local area with no time restrictions. Location
Carters Cottage is situated in a quiet lane in Stow-on-the-Wold, just a 5 minute walk from the market square where you will find wonderful antique shops and boutiques, art galleries, a selection of quaint tearooms and a fantastic choice of country pubs and excellent restaurants. Shops and bakeries selling a range of locally produced goods are in abundance and local farmers markets can regularly be found in Stow, Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Within a short drive from the cottage you can explore the picturesque towns and villages of Chipping Norton, The Slaughters, Chipping Campden and Burford. There are many attractions in the local area, including Snowshill Manor and Lavender Farm, Sudeley Castle, the Cotswold Farm Park and Batsford Arboretum. Walking and cycling enthusiasts will find Stow-on-the-Wold an ideal base as many pathways run through the town. Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon is a little further afield, but well worth a visit.
Please note that for one week in October and one week in May each year many of the amenities and pubs in Stow on the Wold shut due to the Gypsy Fair. If your chosen dates fall in either of these months, please feel free to call to discuss. Costs
