Location

Located in the pretty village of Prestbury, Bredon Cottage is within walking distance of a choice of pubs and the village shop.  It provides an ideal base to explore the rolling hills and picturesque honey-coloured Cotswold stone villages of Winchcombe, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.

With the Cheltenham Racecourse less than 1 mile away, you are not far from a great day at one of the many fixtures, including the Gold Cup at the National Hunt Festival.  And what better way to round off an enjoyable day at the races than venturing into Regency Cheltenham with its excellent choice of restaurants and bars.  Cheltenham is also home to the popular Jazz Festival (April), Science Festival (June) and the Festival of Literature (October) as well as superb architecture, galleies, museums and a selection of boutiques and high street stores.

Within a short drive from the cottage you will find Sudeley Castle, the previous home of King Henry VIII’s wife Queen Katherine Parr; Snowshill Manor and Lavender Garden; Cotswold Farm Park; The Natonal Trust Garden of Hidcote; the Model Railway and Birdland.  Also an easy drive to Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath Spa and historic Oxford.
